All eyes will be set on Adrian Newey following his decision to leave Red Bull. Rumors of the aero-genius exiting the Austrian team had been flourishing since the past week. However, after finalizing the shocking exit, the Englishman would likely join another team soon. Undoubtedly, every top team would want to get its hands on Newey. Hence before the upcoming Miami GP, the 65-year-old is reportedly scheduled to meet Fred Vasseur .

Red Bull has officially confirmed Adrian Newey‘s exit from the team. The aero-genius will complete the RB17 Hypercar before finally departing Milton Keynes. The Briton will not require gardening leave before joining a rival team. Ferrari remains the top-most interested team in the 65-year-old. The Italian team was rumored to provide a ‘blank cheque’ and huge amounts of money with ‘more freedoms’.

According to Gazzetta dello sport, Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur will travel to London to potentially crack a contract negotiation with Newey. With Ferrari’s constant interest and the Briton’s previous comments about not working with Ferrari, one can assume the move to Maranello might be final. After the aero-genius joins the Italian Constructor, the team could have a shot at the championship victory as early as 2026. Newey might be the final part of the puzzle of taking Ferrari back to their championship-winning days.

Adrian Newey confident in Red Bull’s final evolution of the challenger for the last season of the ground-effect era

Adrian Newey’s exit from Red Bull means the Austrian team’s successive run in the sport could be in jeopardy. The Briton’s technical skills were highly instrumental in Milton Keynes’s dominant ground-effect era performance. However, the 65-year-old claimed that he was confident in the team’s ability to continue its rapid development of the ground-effect car for its final season next year before the 2026 regulations.

It has been a real privilege, and I am confident that the engineering team are well prepared for the work going into the final evolution of the car under the four-year period of this regulation set. Adrian Newey said, as reported by planetf1.com.

The 65-year-old was appreciative of multiple high-profile people at Red Bull after talking about his exit from the team. Newey thanked the late Red Bull CEO Dietrich Mateschitz and Charlerm Yoovidhya for their ‘unwavering support’. Additionally, the aero genius was also thankful to Christian Horner for being not a business partner but also a ‘friend’. Despite rumors of tensions between Horner and the 65-year-old recently. Newey will take a bucket load of memories and well wishes from Red Bull following his exit from the team.

On a personal note, I would also like to thank the shareholders, the late Dietrich Mateschitz, Mark Mateschitz and Chalerm Yoovidhya for their unwavering support during my time at Red Bull, and Christian, who has not only been my business partner but also a friend of our respective families Adrian Newey noted.

Hence, the coming few weeks will be highly crucial for Adrian Newey’s future in Formula 1. The Englishman has a plethora of options to choose from. However, it remains to be seen if the aero genius decides to continue working in F1. Or, if Newey decides to finally hang up the drawing board and retire after a long and successful career.
