Highlighting AFC North blockbuster games of 2024 season

The NFL released its complete schedule for the 2024 season on Wednesday. Here is the blockbuster game and a potential upset for every team in the division:

Baltimore Ravens | Complete schedule

BLOCKBUSTER | At Kansas City, Thursday, Sep. 5: The first game of the regular season is a rematch of last season's AFC Championship game. Enough said. The only difference is this time it will be in Kansas City instead of Baltimore.

The Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 to advance to Super Bowl LVIII. Now Baltimore will look to gets its revenge as Kansas City drops its third championship banner in the past five years.

POTENTIAL UPSET | At New York, Sunday, Dec. 15: The Ravens don't have their bye until Week 14, which will likely be much needed for a team that has struggled to stay healthy over the past few years.

However, it could have a counter-effect for Baltimore, too. The Giants are not expected to be a contender of any sort this season, but could catch the Ravens by surprise at home.

Cincinnati Bengals | Complete schedule

BLOCKBUSTER | At Kansas City, Sunday, Sep. 15Joe Burrow versus Patrick Mahomes part five.

Burrow has dominated the series, going 3-1 (regular season and playoffs) against the Chiefs while passing for 1,252 yards, nine touchdowns and just three interceptions.

Some may forget about this Week 2 game later in the year, but it could have big playoff seeding implications as both teams could be fighting for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

POTENTIAL UPSET | At Tennessee, Sunday, Dec. 15: The Bengals have back-to-back tough matchups against the Steelers and Cowboys in Weeks 13 and 14 and then must go on the road on a short week after playing on Monday night.

The Titans are a team many could be overlooking right now with quarterback Will Levis heading into his second season. However, Tennessee has surrounded him with a ton of talent, and he may just be able to win a shootout against Cincinnati late in the season.

Cleveland Browns | Complete schedule

BLOCKBUSTER | vs. Miami, Sunday, Dec. 29: The Browns host the Dolphins on Sunday Night Football in their second-to-last game of the regular season. It's a game that could have high playoff implications with two teams that do things very differently.

Cleveland boasted the best defense in the league in total yards allowed last season while Miami boasted the NFL's top offense in total yards per game. Both should pick up right where they left off.

POTENTIAL UPSET | At Washington, Sunday, Oct. 6: The Browns have three straight away games Weeks 4-6. In Week 5, they go on the road to face the Commanders, who have undergone a ton of change this offseason.

Most notably, Washington used the No. 2 overall pick on QB Jayden Daniels and while defenses love to get after rookie quarterbacks, they are also difficult to prepare for with limited film.

The dual-threat Daniels could catch Cleveland by surprise much like AFC North rival Lamar Jackson did to many teams as a rookie.

Pittsburgh Steelers | Complete schedule

BLOCKBUSTER | vs. Dallas, Sunday, Oct. 6: Two of the most historic franchises in the NFL go to battle on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.

The Cowboys lead the series 17-16 all time, but the Steelers a chance to tie things up this time around. Quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Dak Prescott also have one year left on their deals, so expect both players to give it their all early and often this season.

Pittsburgh and Dallas are always in the conversation at the end of the season but have a lot to prove after coming up short as of late.

POTENTIAL UPSET | at Las Vegas, Sunday, Oct. 13: Head coach Mike Tomlin has struggled against the Raiders with a 3-5 record against them all time.

The Steelers did have the last laugh, defeating Las Vegas 23-18 in primetime last season. However, Raiders new quarterback Gardner Minshew also handed Pittsburgh a 30-13 loss with the Colts in 2023.

This Week 6 matchup has the makings of a game the Steelers should win and find a way not to.
