Euro giants ‘really like’ 24-year-old Tottenham star, surprise move lined up

AS Roma could line up a surprise move for former Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski.

Daniele De Rossi who took charge of AS Roma at the start of the year has done a decent job so far and is now looking at the summer transfer window as an opportunity to reinforce his squad.

According to a report from AsRomaLive, the Italian giants ‘really like’ Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski and are lining up a surprise move for him.

The Swedish international made a switch to England in the winter of 2022. While it was an initial loan deal, there was an obligation to buy which made the move permanent in the summer of 2023. The North London club forked out around €40 million in total to sign him from Juventus.

During his time at Tottenham, the Swedish winger has featured in 95 matches and has contributed towards 32 goals (13 goals, 19 assists). While the recent months haven’t been that great for the 24-year-old winger, his overall performances have been quite impressive. He still has over four years left in his contract with Spurs but the player does not rule out a return to Italy.

AS Roma are lining up a surprise move to bring him back to Serie A. Daniele De Rossi wants more firepower in his attack and Kulusevski is a name quite high on the club’s wishlist.

The Tottenham star is represented by the same agent as De Rossi. While that will help their cause, it will not be able to compensate for the high price tag that Spurs will demand for the former Juventus star. However, things could get easier for Roma if Spurs are open to a loan deal with a buy option.
